Concrete Mix Ratio Calculator
When making your own concrete it is important to use the correct concrete mixing ratios to produce a strong, durable concrete mix.
Some basic mixing ratios for concrete are 1:2:3, 1:3:3, 1:2:4. These mixing ratios are based on the proportions of cement, sand and aggregate.
The ratio you use will depend on what strength you need.
Underneath you may find some Mixing Rations based on their strength:
- Ratio: 1:2:4, generally used for small slabs and fence posts. Can withstand up to 2500psi (175Kg/cm²).
- Ratio: 1:3:3, generally used for slabs, floors and walls. Can withstand up to 3000psi (210Kg/cm²).
- Ratio: 1:2.5:3, generally used for slabs. Can withstand up to 3500psi(250Kg/cm²).
- Ratio: 1:2:3, generally used for exterior slabs and driveways. Can withstand up to 4000psi (280Kg/cm²).
- Ratio: 1:2:2, generally used for exterior slabs and floors. Can withstand up to 4500psi (315Kg/cm²).
Our Concrete Mix Ratio Tool supports both metric and imperial measurements.
